As the snowflakes softly fall
upon my deck this cold night,
I wonder, with all the trials I've had
did I do everything right?
It's easy to justify yourself when
no one's left to disagree with you,
old faces pass by me in my mind
when life was young, and love was true
I wonder some day if I will
be able to have just one chance,
to voice from my lips of old desires,
to ask her for one slow dance?
If I asked you to dance my dear
would you let me hold you close,
could I be the man you once loved,
you the Blushing Bride, delicate as a rose?
Love weaves down corridors of time
I think of things that you said,
but you're now a memory, I'm alone,
sleeping single in a double bed
Still I would not trade one year for the
pleasures of being yours day and night,
tho I'm now in my late 80's
our Love was something I got right

An intriguing corridor of remembrances...
I love it...
