WORDS
Be careful with words that you utter today,
Once out of your mouth they are blown away,
Like feathers in a breeze they are carried afar,
Out of our reach, out of mind, but to others may jar,
Feelings are hurt unintentionally tis ‘true ,
From casual remarks I may make to you,
That careless word sad to relate,
May spell the end of a friendship great.
I’ve heard the tongue is sharper than a two edged sword,
And hasty words bring their own reward,,
So be careful even if you speak in jest,
Giving each utterance that little test.
