HOME Dusk is shadowy If you dwell in the country Hazy is the night. PAUSE Rain makes me feel bad Lost love trickled like downpour Water suffocates. REFLECTION Look into yourself Would you buy what you can see Heartbreaks are for sale. DESPAIR A hole in my heart Laying on a hardwood floor My heart is no more. VISION Bright and intense light Filled the cavity with hope My soul skips a beat. ENLIGHTMENT Hallucination Filled me with things to come Wonderful images fun. METAMORPHUS Staring up at me Saw smile on my face, grinning My heart had come back. CONTEMPLATING On the porch, rocking Sunshine enlightened the sky Letting it fill me. COMMUNICATIOn I answered the phone She said "Let's forget the past." I said, "Wrong number." RESTORATION A long evening walk Nature told me I was good I smiled all the way. You have a great command of haiku structure. I have a hard time writing in that style, in fact the only piece I was ever able to come up is titled "Haiku Smaiku". My favorite lines, "Wrong number" and "This number is dead". When I get a call from "Number Unavailable" I always respect that person's privacy and don't answer.

Wow! You are on a run. Interesting Haiku poems. Especially love "Goodbyes" (shuts it down pretty tight) and "Contemplation" (opens it up). Oh, ya, and the last one, that running naked (free) business. Hell, they're all good. Now where are my Haiku poems?

This was both a fun and poignant piece of wordsmithing. I appreciated the billiard ball-like banking off cushions of defense, ending with your scoring your personal 8-ball in the corner pocket when you changed the number.
