I have drowned in the painful seas,
I do not hear the whistle blow,
As the ferries cross the Bosphorous,
And mighty ships carry their cargo,
And sea-gulls scream their throats,
As waves wash me up along the banks,
And I listen to seaweed weep,
As I have been long dead,
Just look into my eyes,
Distant and Stagnant,
As darkness has overtaken,
And the lights have been turned off,
In the black torrents of this sea,
Poisonous and salty,
Polluting all life,
And every possibility,
I wish the moon would rise,
High above,
Casting it's white beams,
As blackness would be overcome,
And a wild wind would overtake,
To rid all left from past impurities.
