People of Aceh,
Do not feel desperate,
Our prayers are with you,
We wish to help you,
As soon as possible,
Many convoys of relief,
Have been sent from Turkey,
To aid fellow brothers and sisters,
As charity fairs are held,
In every area to raise fundings,
For the orphans and poor,
All having survived- from disaster,
As many more have died,
Earthquake and tsunami,
Had Struck together,
A power unpreventable,
We had experienced similar in 1999,
As there are lessons to be learned,
And chances to help- and earn good,
Time may only heal,
The scars and wounds,
Still fresh from yesterday.

Not only the people of Turkey are responding to Aceh's plight, but the entire world is banding together to alieve much of the suffering. The tsunami took so much, but it has united mankind to help its less fortunate--and something good came out of untold horror
