A lighthouse once stood there,
Hovering ships out at sea,
To the very harbour of safety,
That has now long gone,
As ships are tossed and turned,
Wrecked with sailors drowned,
And danger lurks everywhere,
As I stand by the pier,
Against the strong wind,
That tries to drown me,
Into the blue beckoning,
That pulls my feet wildly,
As I stand determined,
With faith, And hope,
That root me there,
On the pier.
