Exotic woman looks me in the eye,
As she saunters by and by.
Her red sari swirls in the wind,
Showing off it's silk satin.
Beautiful eyes drawn with "kohol",
Enchant one as an open call.
Shiny ebony hair falls down
On her hips that sway around.
Gold bangles dangle on her arms,
As other jewelry know no bounds.
How I wish you would never kneel
So low as to steal,
Yourself from your born gender,
As you chose to change later.
A sad transformation,
From man to woman.
A "Hijra" they name you,
One that pays their due.
A second-class woman they say,
Never able to bear children!Nay!
With magical powers,
A curse that leaves sufferers,
Once respected in society,
Now left trying to earn dignity.
Colonialism has left it's mark,
In every country a part dark.
