A new beginning,
A brand-new page,
Seems ever so difficult,
To change old ways.
Familiar surroundings,
Are tests in fact,
That lay ahead,
Like virgin land,
Awaiting,
To be discovered,
By settlers,
Searching for better lives,
Greener pastures,
Imagined to Lay,
On the other side.
Some face the humiliation,
Of Hamartia,
But are too proud,
To return to safer grounds,
Preferring to suffer,
In honour,
Whilst others,
Seem ever so lucky,
Making chances turn into gold,
And thus plays Fortune,
With the destiny of mortals,
Testing the very boundaries,
Of Endurance in Man.
