In the silence of the dark,
The adhan calls out,
With such passionate devotion,
In the morning twilight,
We are mesmerized by the beauty,
Of the Arabic tone,
Marking the beginning of a new day,
Where muslims begin their fast,
Throughout the day in prayer,
Abstaining from food,drink,sex,
And all sorts of ill manner,
During the holy month of Ramadan,
To worship Allah Ta'Ala
Remembering the lives of the poor,
In an effort to purify the soul.
