The pain is unbearable,
My eyes are swollen and my sockets ache,
My head is pounded by African drums,
My cough keeps coming and taking,
The very life out of me each time,
My throat is so sore that,
I can barely swallow my own saliva,
And I drag myself around the house,
Picking at dirty clothes and dishes,
With no energy left,
To pick anything up,
Let alone carry myself,
I feel so dry and brittle,
Like tree branches in winter,
Ready to crack any second,
Amidst the deadly disease of the flu!

Hope you get better soon. I am feeling achy reading this! Great write.
I do hope you aren't sick with the flu; and if you are, I do hope you feel better SOON! Had a 24 hour bug last Sunday; missed work, but was feeling better by next evening. Maybe it was a bit longer than 24 hours....LOL
