May Allah forgive our sins and have mercy for us all. I hope that international aid will reach Bam as soon as possible and maybe some survivors may still be rescued from under the rubble.

Lo and Behold!
Tis an unbelievable sight of cold,
Devastation and debris,
Lay beyond as far as one could see,
Piles of destroyed homes stood,
Mocking families once with root,
As everyone injured searched for,
One another, sister, brother, mother,
Whoever they could find,
Under the rubble entwined,
With bare hands they digged,
To reach loved ones who didn't breathe,
The pain, The hurt, The anguish,
Words were not enough,
The children crying in the streets,
The people huddled under blankets,
Staring yonder in shock,
With feelings no more,
Tears that couldn't roll down,
A city that had been numbed,
And destruction had conquered,
With death in the air,
A Wasteland had been born,
Destruction and Earthquake,
Had chosen their victim,
The city of Bam.
