Life has stopped Outside,
There is a snow blizzard,
We laze around the house,
Nibbling away like a mouse,
No electricity, No t.v.,
No heating, but cold feeling,
The mighty city hath frozen,
People have chosen, To be safe,
To remain in the confines,
Of homes, But for the poor waif,
Stranded outside, Soon to be dead,
We only feel bored, Among the walls,
Of the inside, And Go to bed,
With nothing left to do instead.

You captured the mood well. I do have one question though? Is there another kind of blizzard? Or are they all snow related?

Love this poem Esra...oh I love those days...I love to hybernate and just read or paint...electricity is not needed...if its nighttime I have a little battery light to read by...I am prepared...but for the poor out on the streets....how sad...touching poem...floria

cold within, cold without, well-expressed ... esp. the malaise that comes with such a feeling
