Ah, the mysteries of the ocean! One of my favorite things is walking along a beach on a cloudy day or in the rain, pondering the wonders below and where the water has been, what secrets it holds...well done!

Such a resonant symbol of the 'turbid ebb and flow' of life's oceanic journey... I like your imagery and the emphasis on the fleeting nature of our time for exploration... even as we scan the shore, we can only catch a glimpse of what will be no more... I am reminded of that old Seals and Crofts song: "We may never pass this way again..."

It's like being with a woman when she's really drunk. The tide is out and she reveals everything. After she sobers up, you'll never get that close again.

I have always wished for the tide to go out really far, so I can see what is on the bottom near my hometown...but with global warmth & the melting ice caps, I think I have a better chance of seeing my hometown being permanently flooded than extreme low tide...e
