Lazy Day

After pulling five nights of waitressing comes the day off.

Pulled the drapes back
Soft warm sunlight
Not the glaring
Hot sun type

Looked around at
Green reflections
Blossoms splashing
Color hype

Felt relaxed had
Cup of coffee
Savored flavor
Music plays

Went back to the
Bedroom dim still
Fell back in bed
Lazy days

Lazy days are wonderful and make for good poems. I am incredibly busy during the week and savor the weekend which here is Friday and Saturday. So, tonight is a lazy night for me; but in the morning, when I am fresh, I hope to write more poems. John

Pouring coffee.
Serving food.
Grouchy diners,
in a bad mood.
Five nights straight.
Shifts are long.
