Driving around East Cleveland, I came upon these pillars on a side street. I asked someone what they signified and was told that they had something to do with the Rockefeller era. Hmmmm...............
What do you signify
Two standing pillars
Reaching up to the sky
You saw your day
Were you the entrance to
Mansions and glory
Glitz diamonds and Wall Street
This entrance way
Gone are the glory days
Came the Depression
Pillars of power stand
Strong to this day

Cleveland has never been the same. Even the Cavaliers can't do a repeat. I've seen two replicas of that kind of classic entry here… Roman Forest (grandiose), a failed telemedia land sale promotion. My university was given nearly worthless property there. And, Sugar Creek, one of the affluent Southwest properties in my area where you will find football stars and entertainers.
Oh, if only they could keep their symbolic nature of ancient cities of stone and art, of philosophy, and, lest we forget, the pure, unadulterated treachery of much of of our ancestral lineage that continues today, only instead of walking in sandals, they cruise through such portals in vehicles of unnatural worth.
