Ice

It's so cold up here in N.E. Ohio that there's a thin layer of ice on the snow. Eight more inches tonight.

Branches heavy snow laden
Brushed lightly with ice
Pine trees line the slope
Shiny from the ice so nice

Walking atop ice coated
Try not to fall through
You might lose a boot
Or the ice might keep a shoe

You have my full sympathy as I sit here in 70 degree temperatures and the relentless desert sun. Even winter is warm here. Oh, how I wish for some ice !
