Watched an old "Gunsmoke" show and one outlaw was called, "Smiley".....'heard words like "town folk". My muse got stirred .

Town folk called him "Smilely" Some folks called him "dumb" "One" knew him a genius Smart as they could come Walking down the valley Close to ev'ning time Smilely with his suitcase Feeling in his prime Knew he'd be transported ("What's that now you say?") Seeking out his "people" Some light years away Farmer saw him floating Upwards towards a ship Saw this all a hap'ning Kept a buttoned lip 'Swears he saw a gator In that beam of light That gator was Smiley Floating out of sight There you have the story You never asked for Wrote this as I floated To that starships door Chomp! Saw old Smiley floating up,
to that ship, a freighter,
I just waved goodbye,
and said, "See ya later alligator."
