Somtimes, don'tcha just wonder?

Poem Artwork

Gazing the infinite sky
Puffy soft clouds gliding by
Flowers necks steered by the sun
All enjoy hot summer fun

Sunset gifts horizons glow
Gold orange fabulous show
Twilight the June bugs delight
Stars and moon shed their soft light

Gazing the infinite sky
Why did our home planet die
Was it due to so much greed
Who watched our dear planet bleed

Wow! The first two stanzas are peaceful and serene, while the third one hits you in the face. I love the image of flowers' necks steered by the sun.

I always wonder about the wonder of the wonderful sky and hope that one day I will see more of it from its other side...-e-

Yes, I often wonder, then I look at the wonder of it all, hanging from the sky. Absolutely, well done.

Your ending took me by surprise. It was complete u-turn from the delightful first two stanzas. It was like a kick in the head, but definitely well said. It seems for every step we made in progress, is being wiped out by today's leaders in Washington. And it starts at the top.

Your poem harbors beauty in its expression and cadence. Along with a dire warning that this is the only place we know of where we speculate on such things.

truly the health of our dear blue planet
is not on the agenda of big business and
our so-called leaders.

Infinite gazing into an infinite sky, it is incorruptible because it is so vast, as vast as the infinite sky and its myriad stars within us when we close our eyes. You are getting me going, Jane. Lovely poem with lovely thoughts.

Our planet earth is actually a beautiful place, but the greed of the humans are destroying it. They constantly drill holes or go underneath the earth to dig things out from the inside, and you're wondering why there are sinkholes happening everywhere.

A great thought-provoking poem, Jane!

Got that right, Jane. No clear tourniquet in sight, unfortunately.

There is nothing in the world better than laying flat of your back and staring at that "Infinite Sky."
