I agree with you about the energy of thunderstorms, Jane. I miss those of my childhood in northern Alberta. They literally often made the windows rattle. We used to get some here on the west coast in the past but they are very rare now. Thank you for sharing and awakening memories. Love and best wishes,

I, too, always enjoyed watching storms roll in, usually from the west with massive storm fronts that really looked scary. But I was never afraid, except when lightning hit so close that it would jar the fillings in my teeth or knock out of bed. With that acrid taste of nitrogen oxide in the air.
It must be spectacular at the lake's edge with so much sky to view.
Thrilling indeed, nature at her best, so dramatic, how I miss those storms. I'll be back soon in the summer to Miami where there will be plenty of them to gaze at in wonder as you have done here. Jane.
