To condense the images of a day into words is an exercise in futility because it would take so many words to do it justice. I never had a diary, but for those who do, they take perhaps, the high and low points of each day and jot them down so that later, when memory begins to fail, one can read with joy what one was doing in youth. Makes me wonder why I didn't have a diary, thinking it was something that only girls did.
