 Some  times I wonder how

As in earlier times, it so went on

A boy when he likes a girl

Tries hard in so many ways

So that he could woo her

To see her just from far

Or to catch a glimpse of her walking past

Even while no talk was made

No pleasantries exchanged

And so it was often found

There were affairs few

 But heartbreaks many

But now we just don’t find

All those old ways of making friends

Kuchoo koo ing  and wooing  her

On roads, in halls and communities small

Each generation has a different style

Do they wish to lavish praise

And  girls who  secretly hope they care

But now the kids grow up with software wares

Communicate,  network with much speed

Which seems to fit them for all their needs

Not the  ways of the old  days

When girls were treated with much more care

Now she  learns to make her share

Changing  pattern of their lives

No more chivalrous knights

Running away with anxious brides

Treating them well and with care

A lifelong partnership deed to sign

Heaven let loose when things go wrong

Some  dont want  to just hang on

Crying foul why why?

 Being together for a while

Must you wash dirty linen  and hang out in a line

After being partners in  the crime!

Alas! If only we learn

Let love be the centre of life

Love   be kindred tender and kind

Love  be between the two hearts long

Love be refreshed like morning dew

Love will make their world go around

Boy, you've got this one right. We are becoming a society of one individual and chivalry is dead but both men and women killed it. Sad.

Alas! If only they learn
Let love be the centre of life

I think we all need to re-learn that these days.

gone are those days, ms. JK, but there are still a few out there.
Love will make their world go around,
and i pray, these young ones would realize that romantic love makes life worthwhile. it shouldn't be the focus of all things. love in general, on the other hand, should be.
very sweet and beautiful poem.

Love hurts it's the truth BUT it is also what makes the world go round. From early childhood throughout ones lifetime. Does perfect love exist? Who knows, we just keep reaching and searching. If we didn't look than why are why here? Wonderful poem that really says a lot.

No matter how the world would change, one thing remains same - LOVE is the key to happiness. However, it would take a person who has love in his/her heart to give it and receive it.

All things are not so nice and lovely, especially when love is unrequited. As far as changing customs, it's not even my father's Internet anymore. I prefer to think that the new generations of youth will find a way to make love work, regardless of those of us left behind by age. I see no moral decline, just a change in vices and deception that was always there. All we have to do is reread the Greek tragedies and find that there is nothing new under the sun except changing technology.

Love. I'm convinced love causes much more pain than it does happiness. Thank for the nice comment on my poem this morning.
