Beyond the barley in the fields,
Swaying in the wind
Where sunlight dances in shafts of gold,
And skylarks reach for heaven

To the oceans of restless waves,
That echo in my heart
A whisper on the wind
In summer’s fading light

Where moments interrupted,
Still wait their autumn days
Where you and I, would harvest
The seasons of our lives

Until then my love, I will linger
Where once did you and I
As those days of summer
So gently drifted by
