'The me that was' ‘The Me That Was’ Once upon a time I was, Dazzled by dreams to fill my life Everything was impossibly, possible In the young me What dreams they were, To change the world, To love the most, To be the best Dreams spun into reality, Made possible the impossible Till youth conquered by wisdom, The dreams faded and died Yet in some quiet moments, At the end of monotonous days I yearn to see, Those dreams that burnished so bright By Mary Cecil

The saddest thing is that, when we are experiencing this idealistic life with such hope, we think it will stay that way. Then it ends and becomes a memory.
