A protest poem against the economics of our times.

'Globalisation & Greed'

The burying of our souls,

In the wasted valleys of wanting

Our dreams packaged and sold,

Beyond our reasoning minds

The globalist gluttons of deception,

The mirage of the miracles

Of better lives filled with objects,

Of our must haves

The manipulations of emotions,

The propaganda of persuasion

To pluck our fine feathers,

And sell them on wings

To fly to some heaven,

Of all desires

On shiny illusions that dance,

And reflect our empty lives

Empires of envy,

The must haves of exploitation

The slavery of our age,

On the slopes to destruction

Sell us our meaning,

To define our days

In a world of dissatisfaction ,

As we plunge to the depths of avarice
