Dedicated to my late husband,Tommy Cecil, a published author, who loved writing.

 Waiting'

There's a table where a pen poised,
And a seat awaited
For someone who would sit,
And write like you

Do you see that window?
Over there where curtains hide
The thoughts that flowed,
Through the shining glass

And the door still opens,
An invitation to come in
And chat a while,
Of life and everything

Will that door ever close?
That window shine so clear?
That table still hold?
Your pen poised forever waiting

Ahh . . . I really like this poem, Mary Cecil. You set the stage for someone who wields a ghostly, spiritual pen. Everything is all set just like t was when he was still there at the writing desk. Exquisite penmanship
