' The Tide of Life'

My life like the tide,

That rose and fell

And swept me away,

To somewhere else

Written in indelible moments,

The greatness and the triumphs

The falling into depths,

So deep, I could not breathe

The feeling so alive,

The longing for death

Those contrary winds that blew,

The fortitude to be alone

Somewhere in time,

You never lose

It whispers in your dreams,

Its presence is forever

Hovering at the door,

Begging to come in

Another life to live,

Another breath to breathe
