'In the Silence'
I hear the silence in the night,
And you're not there
The stillness echoes,
Across my wounded heart
The golden dawn unfolds,
To reveal the ocean calling
With waves to stir the air,
In breathless whispers
To remember you
The sands escape to rushing tides,
Embracing the impossible possession
Of ceaseless welcomes,
As I wander through empty farewells
And all about the hush,
Where memories linger
In every passing tide of regret,
That falls forever through my days
