'Stealing the World'

Ambition for the sake of ambition,

Shuttered minds at play

Corruption and power,

Must have their way

No heights too high to climb,

No depth too deep to sink too

Mired in the money,

The screws in the screw

Sweet dreams for them,

As they plunder and rob

Forsaking all others,

Money is God

To the end of the world,

The air we breathe

The climate deniers,

Deaf to all pleas

Palm oil and gasoline,

Seas filled with plastic

Spinning the lies,

Alternatives too drastic

Equality an illusion,

Humanity can wait

They'll carve up the world,

There'll be no escape

For them or for us,

Who gave them the keys

To steal the planet,

And we said ,yes please
