Love and so much more

 

'Be there'

 

I pretend that you will come again,

Across that wild ocean

And in that pretence,

I drift

 

The softest murmur is you,

When I listen in the dark

If I cross to your warmth,

Would you be there?

 

That impossible madness,

That possesses my longings

And gently persuades,

Me to remember

 

From the cool winds,

To the fires of sunset

In the wanting hours,

Will you be there?

Certainly much longing… But I doubt if he will ever return from that nonreturnable place except in your dreams.
