Life & living

'Invisible Lives'

There are wild rivers flowing,

Into the languorous embrace

Of endless oceans,

Waiting to be one

There's lovers meeting,

When darkness falls

To be swept away,

Into the fragile, unseeing night

There are hidden places,

For invisible lives

Shifting in sweet days of joy

There are hopes to be realized

There are fiery skies that arrive,

To fill our senses

To make us feel alive,

Before we yield to the darkness

There are valleys and mountains,

Between the gathering moments

Of our meanderings,

From hopes to desires

There are oceans to fall into,

There are languorous embraces that wait

There are moments to remember,

In our invisible lives

Even for poets and for biographers, much of our lives remain invisible and probably some of the most memorable when it comes to our interaction with the opposite sex. That is the pure truth in these poetic lines. Secrets that we will never tell.

Apart from moving onward toward a bit of enlightenment, the moments to remember are about all we have left when our time is up. Well said, Mary. Ed
