A desire for a better world

'Tell the dreamers to dream'

Tell the dreamers to dream
A better world for us
Where we can find
An expression of existence
Those longing moments
In a world of shifting sands
Lonely stars that shimmer
In the distance of the dark
For music in the cold night air
A wafting for wings that cannot fly
A chorus of hymns to sleep by
An ambrosia to sip
With loves that never die
A remembrance that heals
A tomorrow that brings
Where dreams can fly
With corn in the fields
And honeybees in perfect skies
And oceans to sleep beside
As mighty ships sail by
When will those dreamers dream
Those dreams for us
So we can know
All the rest
Of how to be
In a better world for us

A very clear poetic reminder that we are all dreamers in different worlds. It's so nice when someones dreams do come true. I once lived in a project apartment in Brooklyn. I dreamed of owning my own home and having a nice wife, children and pets. I prayed for a long time but God overwhelmed me with His Love. Thank you Jesus.

We can "shape" the future by the way we act and follow through on our dreams. Situations like the one we are in force us to reconsider our behavior and perhaps come up with better ways to live with our planet that we rely on so much for everything, but don't want to contribute very much unless we are paid in the coin of the realm instead of hard, unpaid work.

I have been a dreamer all my life, and I'm not about to stop dreaming just by any little obstacles. That's how I am.
