The gladness, the sorrows
The longings you live
The presence you crave
The madness of the otherness
That you never knew
The all-conquering emotion
That you cannot leave
Even as you embrace the impossible

When it comes to love, death strikes us all differently. Certainly, the living must live on, regardless.
About three years ago, my uncle lost his wife. When I called him, he sounded lost and afraid. He died within a year. Three days ago I called an old friend who lost his wife last year. I expected to find him despondent. But he greeted me with his usual happy nature and told me that everything is fine and that he is still doing what he always did, even grateful that his wife has passed because she was suffering.
