What could be better than expressing the hope of life returning & the end of social isolation

'The end of Isolation'

Frayed remnants that shimmer

Beyond the isolation

The edges of broken dreams

Folded and put away

Those silken sheets

That caressed my heart

To return on the silver winds

In the humming of the day

Of intimate imagination

Where laughter reigns

The clatter of expectancy

Of renewed acquaintance

The warmth of the familiar

The opening to admit

That light in my life

To be completely myself

Those hollows filled

That stretched my days

To endless nights

I hear that dance again

That thirst to be slaked

For every part to the last drop

As I toast the end

Of social isolation

We are social creatures and I heartily understand your need to get back with friends and relatives so that you can share gossip and laugh at silly jokes. I guess that's why sitcoms are so popular, mimicking everyday life that is certainly not, in isolation.

I have always tended to be a loner, not really interested in all that social patter it takes up a lot of time and does nothing, but perhaps lift up the lives of those who just wage slaves for their boss masters. Escaping to the pub or to the club for a night of good fun so they can go to sleep and not worry too much. I'm sure this social distancing has had those folks at wit's end.

After the distancing is over, I will continue my solitary existence in my home, rarely going out to socialize and to my liking.

I just hope there won't be a 2nd wave that will bring us right back to another period of isolation.
