I wrote this almost a week ago, but in the recent events of my life it seems like forever. Well this may be the last light-hearted poem for awhile, I think I needed to have a little humor posted.

Fun is a word of many meanings
I know of many pleadings

How do I answer such a call
Maybe I should just have a ball

I love this poet my friend
Yet where does this end

Even as these words flow
Shot three is about to bow

A war will not be won
By the time we are done

But the battles will be done
Until one of us is won

I hope to remain standing
With my poor choice of phrasing

Now how does she reply
As I give it my best try
