This time to which you refer here is always difficult for me as well although I am not sure why. A heartfelt and meaningful offering, Robin. Love and peace to you. Regis
got 'em myself--i'm beginning to dislike christmas, especially since i'll have to work AGAIN...three years in a row...gonna be open all day, owner can't stand to be closed one freaking day, 'cause he'll lose money...but will he be there??? HELL NO. let his lackies earn him his freaking bonus (which we never see)
sorry
nothing to do with your poem, just the title opened up this chasm of bitterness within
i can relate to this; had the holiday blues myself, but thankfully i am over them now. even completed my shopping today; did it all in one day!! (i am so proud of myself...well, okay, NOT QUITE done, but close, close! still have to finish up shopping for my twin sister; with her, she is never done, and it is always christmas with her around!) great write! but all we CAN do is reflect on the TRUE meaning of christmas..JESUS CHRIST!-- and concentrate on THAT and to heck with everything else!
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
