The night was dark and lonely
Alone I sat and dreamed
Of a love I once knew
Apart once again, maybe forever

Am I alive or dead?
What’s the difference?
When all you feel is pain
Apart once again, maybe forever

With survival almost out of grasp
I live alone with my thoughts
I sit broken-hearted
Apart once again, maybe forever

I hold hope in my hands
With only you on my mind
And love in my heart
Apart once again, maybe forever

You have given me the reason to live
Two babies we brought into this world
You are my heart and soul
Apart once again, maybe forever

I feel like a speck of sand on a beach
You are what I cherish
To lose you is to lose my life
Apart once again, maybe forever

Our babies see us to the next generation
Are we apart once again?
And will it maybe be forever?
