In response to War of the Roses by Melissa Crosson. She's cheating if you ask me. I haven't been able to sit at a PC today. ;p

Wit for wit she says In the moments of war I try to laugh at her ways As my spirit soars Many years of gentle banter Have lead us to this place But I can lose my canter Without leaving a trace This war has begun By a simple spoken poem Overseen by none Yet read by some Not left unseen Is the message it sends Your words will lean Because our words set trends
