Once more place the mask upon your face,
Let no one see past your curtains of disgrace.
Let your hair fall effortlessly,
For no one will be able to see.
Hide your bruises and your shame,
Let no one see the fear when the lover says your name.
Be sure to hide your salty tears,
Make all oblivious to your inner most fears.
Hide the panic in your voice,
When you see him coming, you have no choice.
You cannot control the fire of his rage,
Please tell yourself, "It's just his adolescent age."
Keep on marching to your parade of ignorance,
Repeat to yourself, "It is only bliss."
Wrap your arms around his waist,
For you know this is your rightful place.
Watch him smile in front of them,
Don't think about the hits, again and again.
Continue down your path this way,
And soon find yourself in an early grave.
