Every so often

When my clock fails to ring.

My dreams continue

With all the happiness they bring.

I can be with my bride

Or a woman I can't see.

Dreams can be like that

But I'll take it as they be.

They are kind of mixed up

With events of different kinds.

But as long as they are happy

I don't seem to mind.

Those few extra moments

When I'm out of this world.

Are pearls on a neglace

That can never be spoiled.
