There were tracks by my house,

But I don't know which side of them

I was born on as it was dark,

As was the other side of the tracks.

We make the most of what is dealt to us

As life has many twists and turns;

Much like the tracks outside my house

Takes people in different directions.

But life is sweet and always waiting

For an adventure or two each day.

And I grasp the horns of morn

And hold on for dear life.

And when the day is through,

It matters not which side of the tracks i"m on.

As long as happiness was in my heart

And I was true to myself.

Everyone said it all George and I am here
to reiterate as long as you are true to
yourself and happy, this is all that matters

George, the perspective of a very wise man - it is the tracks we leave behind in the hearts and on the minds of others that carry true weight - I bid you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

You are such a delight to read, George! I really enjoy your poems ...
And when the day is through,

It matters not which side of the tracks i"m on.

As long as happiness was in my heart

And I was true to myself

Yes! Loved it!

Good morning, George. When I saw the title I thought of a different kind of tracks, like the ones which grace my arm

But you are absolutely correct it matters not about the tracks, what matters is what is in your heart.
