False faces, false voices

Too late did I find out.

Part of life's fairy tale

We build up in our mind.

Words are so real at times

And the heart is a willing pawn.

Being a realist softens the blow-

It has happend to so many before.

When one you placed your trust in

Did not keep his promise well.

Trust is so important in life

In whom we confide our secrets too.

I guess I never listtened well

When a wise person told me to hold my tongue.

What you don't say never has to be remembered,

Nor will you lose a friend if your secret remains with you.

A secret learned or secrets known
can be quite the burden *George*

Secrets are precious and one has to find out
who they can trust before letting go, George.

George,
Trust in your heart and secrets told may break that trust.
Marvelous writing George.

Trust is earned not given. Once betrayed it's so hard to rebuild.

Love ya!

There always seems to be something that requires that we keep, “secrets,” close. Sometimes it's good when they let secrets out, and sometimes it's bad. We could never tell and that's why we often hesitate and don't tell both we know for fear of being misunderstood by those who learn the secret. I would say though, if you lose a friend because they learned your secret, they were no friend at all.

True enough George, I hope what ever was misused was not too devastating, you deserve to be able to trust. Budd

I truly hope no one hurt you George
you are such a sweet soul...
Trust is such a precious gift to give
to another and such a sad betrayal
when the other loosens their tongue...

We are all entitled to our opinion on
things and our own beliefs... but this
should be accepted if the person is
truly a friend...

Many huge hugs dear George!

George, I hope you were not hurt by anything said, Secrets is just a word...I try to remember it as being ..See Gret..if I choose to reveal it...I seegret it (regret)..my heart feels awful when I let it go. Sometimes it is out before you realize what you did. Try to forgive and in so doing, you are the one that has the release of the "Secrets"! Enjoyed reading your work!

the Lord tells us "to guard our hearts" the poison of Satan lives
merely to infect everyone, and to destroy...
your poetic offering reaches deeply from a place
we all have experienced George, and the prowess of the Lord
overcomes it ALL...oh what a glorious Blessing he Is!!
Never Forsaking Us, knowing we are all stained by sin
and too the Lord would not want us to remain bondage to any secret
as it is toxic to the soul...
