Scrubbed the floors of my thoughts,
Everything looked clean.
Spotted a spot or two
On this floor that looked so sheen.
Imagination needs no distractions,
When a thought comes into view.
So I rubbed the spots till they were gone,
And now everything is new.
I wish I could remember
The poem I was about to write.
But all my thoughts have gone away,
But my minds a pretty sight.

You should have stored your inspiration
in the cupboards above your scrubbed floors
Floors are what we tread upon, abuse and scuff up
We do that to our mind too... when you can remove all
unlovely things that we and others put there then we
have accomplished a great deal yes? But, sometimes those
little spots should have been stored else where for they were
the inspiration of a memory :)
Great George it gave me a lot to think about
