Who has the tools
To fix a broken heart?
Surely not a plumber
Or carpenter from the start.
May the pieces meld together,
Once I've started a new life.
Best medicine is my own,
To move away from this strife.
What caused it,
is still what hurts more.
No warnings, just an ending.
To a marriage that was in store.
One can swallow their pride,
If they knew what went wrong.
There were no warnings;
Our love was rich and strong.
Yet one day it was over,
When he said his last godbye.
The wonder of what was to be,
I'll never understand, and cry.

Without it we are left floating wondering
