Anger is such a waste of time.

What gets your temper up

Soon passes away,

And not worth time  to be upset.

But we all, at one time or another,

Let little things build up.

Just needing a spark to ignite it,

And then you lose a friend.

Words you wouldn't think of using,

Blair out of your mouth.

Stunning the listner to tears,

And in some cases, a broken heart.

The genie has been let loose;

And you can't retract what was said.

Your temper, unrestrained

Has lead to your demise.

these things you can never get back after it's happened... so we must be mindful

1. The Stone.......after it's thrown

2. The Word........after it's said

3. The Occasion....after it's missed

4. The Time........after it's gone

5. A Person........after they die

George, words of wisdom here and no mistake---I expect we are all guilty
It gets easier as we get older. I was impressed by your WW2 record. I have written about my experience of WW2 as a child in England--I might post it.

Regards Gerry.

PS I am having teething trouble here--you may get this twice LOL.

anger or built up tension has always cost more than it was worth and usually at the expense of the wrong people

We've all been there.. I believe the key is recognizing the anger and the reason for it.. and then facing it head on. It does not have to be wasted time if we learn from it... just my humble opinion.. and I will add that it is not an easy task..
