Always A Tomorrow

Grasping at the straws that life has left,

Pondering the shortness that we beget.

Always a tomorrow, when the sun goes down,

Always a blessing when the sun smiles on my own.

Don't look back, it's too late in your life.

You're no longer a gazelle, limited now with age.

But the mind, if able, still remembers those days,

A young buck with the ladies, a new one each day.

Those memories keep me young and so thankful

To the Lord who made it possible for me to find a pearl.

A life full of struggle but with an angel by my side.

She was my strength, that gave me determination.

Now the days are getting shorter still-

My body has been carved up and down;

Replacing old parts with the new of the day.

Extending my life for a longer stay.

Doctors can do wonders and will continue,

As each year something new is discovered.

And killing maladies are wiped out once and for all.

Many are left to test the skill of those in medicine.

But they are for the new tomorrows

And the minds of those who will discover.

Pray my friends for this to become a reality

For it is in prayer that new discoveries are achieved.
