Fastened to this world

By the gravity therein.

Lest I be flung afar

Like a midnight star.

Though I would never glow,

In the void of space alone.

For there would not be a soul,

To tell this tale, if I shown.

Left to walk these magnitized streets,

Where shadows need not care.

I, in the emptiness of thoughts,

Know what this world has brought.

Farewell to the friends long gone,

Into the heavens prepared.

There one day I will hopefully meet,

When I leave the gravity that holds my feet.
