Were I the sun of my thoughts
And the moon of my being.
There in the universe to glow
Like no other being.
Would there be no death
To claim the mortal I'm not?
And if I'm not mortal, yet alive,
I dare to see beyond the pale.
There is no mind to comprehend
What cannot be explained.
Nor eyes to envision the beauty
That is waiting to be ordained.
I think, but not of thoughts-
Only mortals have these.
Mine are from the valleys
That nobody has dare to see.
Yet in my migration I see
The doors I've yet to open.
The vista of beauty not known
Will be mine alone to dwell.
and your expressions of your mortality are
well put and felt here... Yet to see what lies
beyond our mortality...
