An enigma, chances are

Of this possibility,

But I'm uncertain.

Walking backwards,

To a strong wind.

Deflects the certainty

Of getting out of breath.

But if I fall into a ditch,

Who can I blame?

Did the ditch just appear,

Or was it my stupidity?

Wonders of wonders

Are a puzzle to me.

They were here

Before I came to be.

I arrived unharmed,

Aimless though I was.

What lesson was learned,

Alas, no teacher found.
