Though the butterfly never makes a sound,

As it flitters above the ground.

And the break of day is quiet also.

Am I, in my age of old, bound?

The thoughtless may have thoughts also, I'm told.

And the young seem to be so bold.

Here I am, as young as the mountains high;

Without a whimper or a sigh.

I let the grass grow and the rain to fall,

Because Nature has the last call.

Who am I to brag, though no one hears me,

A poet's voice, a memory.

Life may not escape me till my last breath,

And then a new life will be set.

I will hear sounds I've never heard before,

Coming from God, whom I adore.

George, this is written with great passion for life and the love of of God. All that can never be said of the living is that, they were. From those we all leave behind we can only hope that we are remembered frequently and lovingly. We are among the maturing adults. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

George, there is much wisdom in that mountain...
It has seen all of it over millenniums...
The mountains are what we should go to for peace
and enlightenment, for this mountain has much to give
in the way of all things... Just as the mighty oak tree...
All have been seen, heard and experienced over time...

Silence is a source of great strength. ~Lao Tzu~
