Pope Francis , of humble nature, Has been chosen a new pope. An awesome job for God's Apostle, And may our prayers buoy him. Catholics are rejoicing, And happy for their new pope. How wonderful he chose Francis To be his name as pope. St. Francis loved animals, And was a very gentle soul. His work on earth was God's work, And now Pope Francis will guide his flock.

I'm not Catholic George but I have been uplifted and inspired by the life of St Francis Of Assisi. The new Pope seems to be a humble and caring man.

Hi George, You wrote a very nice tribute to the new Pope and it will go around the world as will Pope Francis.
There is no contest to who is the most humble person who ever walked the earth. Jesus is God who became man for our benefit. The Pope has vowed to be humble and not take a salary. Yet he has powers that even a King or modern day president cannot hold a candle to. So whoever said Rome fell? I think the Romans just moved the power towards the light of Jesus and are just at the fringes on conquering the world with love, grace and hope for all of mankind. Amen

St. Francis of Assisi is my favorite saint. I'm not Catholic but I'm all about the way he loved animals. Let the world welcome the new Pope!
